Major Curricular Change Requests

Tracking Notes

Departments can check the status of their submission for the current academic year by checking the Catalog Subcommittee Tracking Notes provided by the Registrar's Office. Tracking notes are published every Monday and reflect the most recent approvals for the past week. Please note that items that are marked as "added to agenda" will be worked in the order received. Given the high volume of submissions, an item may not show a change in status for a number of weeks.

If you are unable to locate your request on the tracking notes, please note the following.

  • New submissions are typically added to the tracking notes within two weeks of receipt. It may take slightly longer during periods of heavy volume (e.g October 1 and February 1 deadlines).
  • New submissions that have not been approved by the chair and dean will not be added.
  • New course submissions originating with the UCORE committee will be added to the Catalog Subcommittee agenda after they have been approved by the UCORE committee. Status of UCORE proposals can be tracked on the UCORE site.
  • New course submissions originating with the Provost's Office will be added to the Catalog Subcommittee agenda after they have been approved by the Provost. Status of these proposals can be tracked on the Faculty Senate website.

At the end of each academic term, excluding summer terms, a report will be sent to the Deans summarizing the curriculum change approvals for each department to-date for the academic year. The spring semester report will also include details of items not approved at the end of the academic year.
