The deadlines specified below are for the full submission - which includes email approval from the college and dean. The initial submission of the electronic form should be several days in advance of the specified deadline.
This amount of lead time is necessary for the proposal to make it through the full approval process in time for inclusion into the schedule of classes. Submissions received after the deadline will be reviewed in the order received as time allows.
Requests for new or revised requirements are due by October 1st of the year prior to implementation. No new requirements or requirement changes can be approved if there are new courses or course revisions pending. A department does not need to wait until course changes are approved to submit the requirement request, but all proposed changes should be reflected in the proposed requirements.
Minor Curricular Change requests can be submitted at any time. However, in order to ensure adequate time to process changes, it is recommended that changes be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the start of priority registration.
The deadline for Fall submissions is October 15th of the prior year for courses offered and Feb. 15 of the prior year for courses offered in Spring. New courses that are requesting the UCORE designator should be submitted no later than October/February 1st.
